APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #11-0045 FOR ART SUPPLIES - WAREHOUSE
Description
Bids to provide 'Art Supplies - Warehouse' were received from 14 vendors on March 1, 2011. The bids of AFP Industries, Inc., Art & Frame of Sarasota, Bye-Mo'r, Inc., Cutlass Enterprises, Inc., dba Bennett Pottery Supply, Highwater Clays of Florida, Inc., Pyramid School Products, Quill Corporation, S&S Worldwide, School Specialty, Smith Office & Computer Supply, and Standard Stationary Supply Company were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bids are included with the bid tabulation. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the operating budgets of the schools and departments.
Recommendation
That the bids of AFP Industries, Inc., Art & Frame of Sarasota, Bye-Mo'r, Inc., Cutlass Enterprises, Inc., dba Bennett Pottery Supply, Highwater Clays of Florida, Inc., Pyramid School Products, Quill Corporation, S&S Worldwide, School Specialty, Smith Office & Computer Supply, and Standard Stationary Supply Company, to provide 'Art Supplies - Warehouse' in an amount not to exceed $250,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
